Import Security Filing (ISF)
Importer Security Filing (ISF) – A customs requirement involving 10 essential data elements for clearing shipments. The “10+2” rule implies acquiring all 10 obligatory elements along with two supplementary ones. ISF filings must be completed 24 hours before cargo loading onto the vessel. Typically, vendors provide most data elements during booking creation in our supply chain optimization platform, while the origin inputs the remaining details into the shipment, such as AMS B/L number and AMS carrier SCAC code. The two additional elements, container stow plan and container status, are obtained from the carrier.
