From Visibility Gaps to New Momentum: How Bissell is Evolving Global Logistics with Century

When global homecare brand Bissell set out to modernize its global logistics strategy, the priorities were clear: strengthen visibility, improve supplier collaboration, and build agility into an increasingly complex supply chain.  In a recent conversation, Kim Malinowski, Director of Global Inbound Logistics at Bissell, sat down with Jim McCullen, Century’s CTO, to discuss why Bissell made the switch and how a fast, collaborative implementation laid the foundation for long-term success.

Why Make a Change?

Bissell had a stable program in place but recognized the need for a platform that could keep pace with evolving demands. “We needed more accessible, real-time visibility to support smarter, faster decisions,” Kim shared. “And a partner with the operational expertise to drive impact on the ground.”  Century’s deep global presence and supplier familiarity made the transition easier: “More than half of our vendors already knew or had worked with Century, which gave us confidence we could onboard quickly.”

A Seamless Start – 45 Days to Go-Live

From kickoff to go-live, the implementation wrapped in just 45 days a process Kim called “one of the smoothest” in her career. Century and Bissell worked side-by-side with suppliers and internal teams to ensure readiness and alignment.  “There were no booking delays or disruptions,” Kim said. “Even our suppliers were trained ahead of go-live, which made a huge difference.”

Visibility, Trust, and Better Decision-Making

Today, Bissell’s teams are using the VIZIV® platform to manage by exception, access PO-level visibility, and focus efforts on what matters most. “We’re shifting from emails and spreadsheets to a centralized platform. It’s a big step toward more proactive operations.”

Built for What’s Next

With implementation complete, the focus has turned to continuous improvement. From KPI tracking and carrier performance to regular touchpoints with Century’s team, Bissell is building a more connected, data-driven supply chain.  As Kim noted: “It’s still early, but we’re already seeing the benefits. We’re better equipped to plan, adapt, and stay aligned across teams.”
