Unlocking Clarity in Supply Chain

Free on Board (FOB)

Free on Board (FOB)  – An incoterm where transfer of ownership for the goods occurs once they are onboard a vessel. The seller is responsible for loading the purchased cargo onto the ship and covering all associated costs. Once the goods are safely aboard the vessel, the risk transfers to the buyer, who then assumes responsibility for the remainder of the transportation.
